60, Civil War 100 at Saturday's Twilight Meet

No word yet on whether or not Coach Kelly
will be on hand to ceremonially announce “Gentlemen, tie your
Nikes!” but at least seven of his charges will be taking to the track at
Historic Hayward Field Saturday to participate in a Football-only 60-meter dash
at the Oregon Twilight meet.

Williams will toe the starting line in front of the west grandstand with
the prize of bragging rights for the rest of the football offseason awaiting
the winner.
But wait, there’s more! The Football 60 will be an appetizer for a Civil
War 100 Meters featuring dual-sport student-athletes from Oregon and Oregon
State. The Civil War lineup will pit UO’s LaMichael
James, Kenjon
Barner and Talmadge
Jackson III in a race against OSU’s Jacquizz Rodgers, James Rodgers,
Marcus Wheaton, Rashaad Reynolds and Keynan Parker.
The Ducks and Beavers will also each have an entrant in the 4x100 relay.
The meet begins at 5 p.m. with the 4x100 tentatively scheduled for 6 p.m. The
Football 60 will go off around 6:30 and the Civil War 100 will take flight at
approximately 7:00.
